This bracelet is made with Kahelelani shells hand-picked from the Northern beaches of Kauai. The Kahelelani shell is a very rare and valuable shell that was only worn by the Hawaiian royalty and has been used as currency. I very diligently sort through the shells to pick out only the best and strongest ones, that will last you a long life of enjoyment. Most of these types of shells wash up on the forbidden Island of Niihau, but there are a few select beaches on Kauai that I can find them on.
The pattern used in this bracelet incorporates the dark burgundy shells which is a very rare and sought after color.
It is strung on 50lb' test braided nylon line so this piece is very strong and durable and can be worn in fresh or salt water.
The Kauai puka shell clasp will not come undone while being worn.
