This classic Hawaiian Sunrise Shell is very high quility with strong ridges and both it's wings in tact. The colors on this shell are 100% natural, just as it was found on the shores of Kauai, Hawaii. I have strung it on a single strand of Kahelelani shells with cone and puka shells, hand picked from the pristine Northern beaches of Kauai. The Sunrise shells and the Kahelelani shells were only worn by the royalty in the old Hawaiian days and were highly regarded for their beauty and rarity. Today they are extremely hard to find, being one of the most sought after and valuable shells in the ocean. This traditional Ni'ihau herringbone design is very versatile, comfortable, and durable.

Strung on 50lb' braided nylon line, this necklace can be worn in water and is very strong and durable.
The 14kt gold filled lobster clasp is very secure.
