This necklace is an exquisite Kauai Momi Shell lei, that has taken many years to perfect. Not only will this necklace maintain it's integrity and luster, it will continue to gain in value exponentially. The Momi shells are only found on a few select beaches on Kauai and on the forbidden Island of Niihau. I collect my shells on the north shores of Kauai and sort each one by size, color, and quality. I then hand drill the holes in them in precisely the right place for this intricate and difficult weave. This necklace represents hours of work and truly embodies the spirit of Aloha.

This lei is strung on 60lb' braided nylon line, so it is very strong and durable.
The traditional Granulate cowrie shell 14kt gold filled lobster claw clasp is very secure.
Necklace will be shipped in a gift box.
