This is a one of a kind lei combining high quality Momi Kahelelani shells, laiki shells (melanella eulamid shells), sundail shells and puka shells all hand picked from the north shore beaches of Kauai, Hawaii. The Momi shells are extremely hard to find in good quality and the laike shells ard very hard to find in quantity. It has taken several years to collect enough to create this lei. This necklace is strung in the traditional Heleconia weave, one of the most difficult and time consuming methods. The "Niihau" shells (Kahelelani, Laike, Momi shells), are the only shells in the world that are actually insurable as gems and can be worth more per ounce than gold!
Length: 21.25' inches
This lei is strung with 40lb' braided nylon line, so it is very strong and durable and can be worn in water. The Puka shell clasp is very secure.
