This is a very unique and vibrant piece made with Hawaiian rat cone shells with puka shells collected from the beaches of Kauai, Hawaii. When the rat cone shells have been polished by the ocean long enough they turn purple. They are strung with puka shells, which are actually the tops of cone shells that have been tumbled in the ocean waves for many years. This necklace looks great on men and women.
It is strung with 80lb' test braided nylon line, so it is very strong and can be worn in fresh or salt water. There are less Cone and Puka shells each day, do to our oceans water level rising and pollution. Please respect our oceans our greatest natural resource .
